Positive Transition: applying digital transformation in transition
Positive Transition is borne out of 23 years providing support to people leaving the Armed Forces and Transitioning into civilian life. The current MoD provision only looks after the employment aspects of this major life change, where so much more information is required. We effectively deliver a single pane of glass view of information, advice, guidance and training that empowers not just the serving person but the spouse/partner and dependents too. Through the development, we have recognised that this service could apply to adjacent markets outside of the global defence domain: Prison leavers, end of career pro sports, young adults leaving the care system, young adults onboarding at university, refugees and asylum seekers and many others.
Famiio - A data-driven GovTech platform that creates innovative, hassle-free childcare solutions for families, providers and local authorities.
Finding childcare is a parent’s nightmare - complex, time-consuming and stressful. But childcare is essential for both the economy and families to thrive. Famiio uniquely solves this challenge with innovative ‘Childcare Plans’, empowering any parent to find available childcare in a heartbeat from a trusted Government source. The expert data-driven platform also finds childcare solutions for multiple children, or delivered by collaborating providers, or across LA borders - connecting the market like a government Booking.com for childcare. In 2020, Famiio was awarded a £75k COVID innovation grant from Innovate UK to help LA's gain a real-time view of local childcare market resilience and deliver better information to parents on actual available childcare (as well as flexible, affordable, and accessible). As a result, our MVP was successfully piloted in 2021 with 2 LA’s, Cambridgeshire County Council and Bracknell Forest Council. Famiio is now ready to implement this in 2022 in other LA clusters like that in South Yorkshire.
Knowledge Pool is a digital capability support organisation based in Doncaster.
Our mission is to promote and improve digital literacy in our community. The project started from a quest of the founder to help friends and family with digital troubleshooting. Starting with just the founder with her personal laptop, Knowledge Pool has 16 volunteers and 2 staff today. Having supported over 500 people within the Doncaster area as well as WMCA (West Midlands Community Authority) and Basildon community area. We helped a lot of people in our community to connect with their friends and families online during the Covid-19 Pandemic.
We offer both funded and non-funded trainings and digital technical support to the community. We've worked with the following organisation to deliver trainings that has measurable social impacts in the community; Doncaster council, Age UK, Changing Lives Doncaster, the conversation club Doncaster, WMCA etc

Living with a long-term condition has profound effects – difficult and frustrating, often without the right care at the right time. But communicating with the healthcare professionals is the key to successful management. There is a need for simple, easily accessible tool to build bridges between patients and their treating healthcare professionals The currently available digital platforms fail not only to build bridges but also empower the patients. Patient reported outcome measures, one of the keystones in measuring the quality of delivered healthcare for clinicians and hospitals, can be used to guide patient journeys.
PainC, a digital platform resolves the complex issue with easy flow of data between the patient and the healthcare professionals. It captures the real-time data, allowing remote monitoring of chronic pain conditions, with benefits for both patients and healthcare professionals. Patients capture the subjective and objective assessments via mobile application while the professionals follow the data asynchronously. PainC mobile app empowers people to take charge of their health. The asynchronous solutions foster interdisciplinary approaches and shared decision-making.
Legal-Pythia LLP is an information technology solutions provider
Specializing in artificial intelligence, Legal-Pythia organizes, categorizes and searches data for duplications and contradictions for governmental and commercial entities including legal and financial institutions. Legal-Pythia´s artificial intelligence software is different from the current offerings of the market since it explains to the end-user why certain decisions or predictions were made. This is important, since current artificial intelligence software systems mostly still operate in a “black box” state, meaning the end-users do not understand what is going on. Legal-Pythia wants to eliminate this fear and provide full transparency as well as trustworthiness. Another offer which we currently have is a context-based configuration management system, for which we received a license from NASA: Context-Based Configuration Management System | T2 Portal (nasa.gov).

We gather tenders, contracts and spend going back over 10 years with a database containing over 175m rows of data. We've worked with analytics with Councils, dashboards for the Cabinet Office and provide data the DIT. Councils can use this information to identify key trends across procurement such as how much they're spending, on what and with whom and to benchmark against other buyers and suppliers. We can make this available to Councils via API, CSVs or integration into your BI tools
